Then I joined your Song Mentor website. The proverbial light has begun to shine! With your teaching I am now playing some songs with confidence. Your teaching has opened the door for me! Thank you - Chris.

Thanks! That intro has haunted me for more than 30 years and you helped me nail it in 5 minutes. I like your style – uncluttered – no constant rambling and no fret board egotistical techy know-it-all bla, bla bla… very sincere and so keep on rockin bro. – Bo

Please keep explaining the rhythm and the up/down patterns of the songs. Most helpful! - Aiseant

Hi Jackson!  I just checked out your site and I'm very impressed.  I may be the official subscriber, but you will actually be mentoring my 11 (almost 12!) year old son.  He's in his 5th year of lessons and is crazy about all things guitar — your lessons and tips will be much appreciated!  Thank you for all that you do.  You are a great example to kids who love music. – Christine

I've been playing for 30+ years. It's a lot easier to let you show me what I'm missing in a song, than it is to sit and figure it out on my own. I don't read music, so the way you teach is perfect. You are making me a better player, Jackson! Thanks!!! – Richard

Hi Jackson, You Have an excellent teaching style. I really enjoyed learning this song. Thank you. I had a guitar when I was in my teens and twenties, I would pick it up now and then and play parts of songs. I could never really play a song all the way through. Now at 55 years of age, I am giving it another try and with your help I can play a song all the way through…. Yeah!! – Adrian

Thanks for all the help.  Already starting to learn a couple of the songs.  Most lessons just show you the opening riffs and leave you there.   You take it all the way through so that an intermediate player like myself can work through the song. – Ken

As always another classic from a great era! I really enjoy your site and lessons! Don't stop what you do because you do it well. Great job! – Dan

I just picked back up on learning to play guitar after a 25 year layoff. I am basically self taught and got frustrated years ago because I could never learn a complete song, only a few riffs. Your lessons are great! Looking forward to all your new songs. – Wade

This is such a great site! I have learned a lot from it. Just wondering if you ever do Chuck Berry's "C'est La Vie"? His guitar work is so clean in that song.

I have been working on "Honky Tonk Woman" and am wondering if you could share with all of us …

what  your AMP settings are for this song. You really have a great sound almost (if not exactly)

like the R STONES..

thanks so much.

Wayne

P.S.    Really enjoy your method  of teaching

Thanks Wayne. Back then I would've been playing through Peavey Classic 30 amp. The exact settings I do not know. Pretty much all the lessons in the past year have been directly through my pedal …..  a Digitech RP7.

I have spent several years checking out a lot of guitar learning sites so I have a really good perspective on what's out there regarding cost and instructional value. Without a doubt you lead the way Jackson. You've got the whole package. Added to your great guitar talent and skills is your straight forward approach in communicating what you are teaching. If someone is serious about learning how to play great guitar songs  this is where it's at.   Thanks for sharing your time and talent.  Denis

Hey Jackson, been a few months since I stopped by.  Just looked at The Breakup Song and Don't Fear The Reaper as well as a few others.  These videos of yours are awesome!  I have picked up a bit of music theory and UG dot com gives most of the chords and tab, but seeing your clips to put it all together is powerful stuff for a 51 year old beginner like me. Thanks!

I joined about 6 weeks ago and have to say I really enjoy the way Jackson teaches. I joined for the R&R so I get 2 songs a week and they are a very good selection.  Jackson also has a knack to teach songs, both chords and leads in 15 mins or under.  Well worth the money and I'm very glad I joined.  A great teacher and teaches in a very relaxed manner.
